This chromolithograph of a Pike Perch or Wall-Eyed Pike, (Stizostedium Vitreum) was created by artist S. F. Denton (Sherman Foote) born in 1856 and died in 1937 Well known for his exquisite drawings of fish, birds, and mammals when he was commissioned for several years to illustrate the New York State Fish and Wildlife Annual Report, part of the Forest, Fish and Game Commission of New York State.
