U. S. Custom House, N.Y. Photographed by Irving Underhill in 1908.
Designed by famed architect Cass Gilbert. This building today looks largely as it did back in 1908. Now the home of The National Museum of the American Indian. It is at the foot of Broadway across from Bowling Green.

Comments
I love this building. Back during my New York Changing project this was one of the locations that convinced me to begin the project. There was such a huge change in the location but the evocative statures remain.
