Greyhound Racing and Monkey Jockey, 1933

What will Rennie Renfro think of next? The patent often refers to the "jockey". Not sure whey the don't mention that the jockey is a Monkey. I guess you could strap a just about any small mammal that would cooperate. This concept became an official US patent on September 12, 1933. Renfro in his day was one of the top Hollywood animal trainers for movies. Great story on Renfro here.
