Inspirational Mosics by Anne Dérian

This work knocks my socks off.

Anne Dérian has worked six years as an architect in Paris In 2010, she decided to dedicate herself to mosaic art: "In my mosaics, as in architecture, each element speaks to the whole, the smallest particle is necessary for the entirety like the Atom for the universe. BECAUSE a Mosaic IS not an artwork That you simply Hang on a wall, it IS the intrinsic and fragmented Substance of Surfaces. Architect From my background, I kept this Fascination for applied geometry, modular Systems and serial Patterns as well Particular attention as to detail. From my Travels, I Retained the Abstract Beauty of islamic Arts, the floors of Saint Mark's Basilica-and Brunelleschi's Dome Along with the Inherent Vibration of Handmade work and Handicraft. "
