Rolleiflex 2.8E Camera, Watercolor Painting
The first Rolleiflex was introduced in 1929. This model, the 2.8E, with a Zeiss Planar f2.8 taking lens is still highly sought after today for it's ultra sharp optics and fine build quality. Many of the greatest photographers of the 50's and 60's used the 2.8E including Diane Arbus, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Vivian Maier and many others. The Rolleiflex twin lens cameras are regarded for the compact size, excellent quality, reasonable weight, unsurpassed optics and bright viewfinders. They are copies to this day.
Print Collection commissioned watercolor artist Dana Saylor to create this one of ten paintings for ouråÊclassic camera series. The series of images are all in a square format.
